Snake Pop — Classic Snake, Rebuilt for the Browser

Snake Pop is a free browser take on the arcade classic: steer a growing snake around the board, eat every piece of food you can reach, and avoid running into a wall, an obstacle or your own tail. Built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, it loads in a couple of seconds and needs nothing installed.

How It Works

Use the arrow keys or WASD on a desktop, or swipe on a touchscreen. Every piece of food makes the snake one segment longer, so the board gets tighter the better you do. Movement is on a fixed timestep with interpolated rendering, which is why the snake glides rather than jumping cell to cell.

Two Modes

• Quick Play — the classic endless run, at a speed you pick
• Story — ten levels of rising speed and obstacle layouts, each with a qualifying score to unlock the next; progress is saved in your browser
