Daily Glyph — A Word a Day

Daily Glyph is a free browser take on the daily word-guessing puzzle: everyone gets the same hidden five-letter word, and a fresh one appears at midnight. Built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, it loads instantly and needs nothing installed.

How It Works

Type a five-letter word and press Enter. Letters turn green if they're in the right spot, gold if they're in the word but the wrong spot, and gray if they're not in the word at all. You get six guesses, and your very first one is on the house — it always reveals two letters that belong in the word.

Key Features

  • A free first guess that reveals two letters up front
  • Win/loss stats, guess distribution and streak tracking, saved locally
  • One-tap result sharing with the classic emoji grid
  • Free to play, and runs in any modern browser

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Daily Glyph free to play?
Yes. Daily Glyph is completely free, runs in your browser, and needs no download, install or sign-up.
Does everyone get the same word?
Yes. The word is picked from the current date, so every player sees the same five-letter word on a given day, and a new one appears at midnight.
Why does my first guess already show two letters?
Your opening guess is a free hint: it's chosen automatically to reveal two letters that are in the answer but in the wrong spot, so you always start with useful information.
Does Daily Glyph save my stats?
Your play count, win percentage, guess distribution and streak are stored locally in your browser. No account is needed and nothing is uploaded.
