Drop Four — The Classic Connect Four Game with Real AI

Drop Four is a free browser recreation of the timeless Connect Four game, featuring a genuine alpha-beta search AI, three play modes, and support for eight languages. Drop discs into a 7×6 grid, stack them under gravity, and race to connect four in a row before your opponent does.

How It Works

Players alternate dropping colored discs into one of seven columns. Discs fall under gravity and stack from the bottom up. Connect four discs in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — to win. If the board fills completely with no winner, the game ends in a draw.

A hover preview shows your disc bobbing above the column before you commit, and every drop animates realistically falling into place. When a winning connection is made, the four winning cells pulse with a glowing white ring.

Three Game Modes

• Player vs AI — take on a genuine alpha-beta search engine with three difficulty levels. Easy plays randomly, Medium searches five moves deep, and Hard searches eleven moves deep — strong enough to beat most casual players
• Player vs Player — two players face off on the same device
• AI vs AI — watch the engine play itself, also used as a live demo mode
